Don Smirniotis has been working in wealth management for almost 50 years. Best known for his traditional money management, Don builds portfolios of individual stocks and bonds for each client.  With so much experience working through the ups and downs of managing an investment practice, Don started his own practice. By starting his own practice, Don runs the daily operations to avoid the mistakes he witnessed during his many years in wealth management.

Don prides himself on educating his clients on how to be savvy investors, so they can potentially experience the long-term rewards of diversified investing. We believe clients experience confidence knowing Don has their back and cares about helping them reach their financial goals.

Background & Specialization

Before starting his career in the financial industry, Don graduated from Loyola University Chicago and served in both the United States Army and the Army National Guard. After serving his country and receiving his degree, Don worked for Merrill Lynch Capital Markets and Salomon Smith Barney for several years where he specialized in asset management. He was also a member and floor trader at The Chicago Board of Trade and The Chicago Board Options Exchange prior to launching his own wealth management practice.

About Don

Don grew up and currently resides in Chicago. When he isn’t working, Don enjoys following sports. His favorites being football and basketball. He enjoys following high school and collegiate teams. In the summer, Don loves spending time at the lake with wife of almost 50 years, Jane, and his three daughters and six grandchildren.

As a founder of Smirniotis & Seibold Wealth Management, Bill has run the group since its inception and oversees its ongoing success. He’s highly experienced in long-term planning and multi-generational planning, making him a trusted advisor for our clients, their children and their grandchildren. As Managing Director - Investments, Bill oversees all of our client portfolios and determines our investment strategy based on careful analysis of world economic factors.

Bill has worked in the securities industry since 1982 and has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional since 1984. In 2003, he created Seibold Wealth Management Group to be the kind of practice that maintained personal relationships with its clients and their families, while helping them financially prepare for the future.

Bill adheres to a professional Code of Ethics, and stays current on emerging financial trends and planning strategies through continuing education each year. He has Bachelors of Science degrees in history and economics from the University of Illinois at Champaign.

Bill and his wife, Joyce, have lived in Aurora for over 30 years. Their daughters, Liz and Lora, are CPA®s. Their son, Will, works closely with Bill as a Financial Advisor at Smirniotis & Seibold Wealth Management.

Bill’s hobbies include flying, sailing and playing golf. He is a licensed pilot with over 600 hours of logged flight time. In the summer months, he sails out of Burnham Harbor in Chicago. Bill is a member of the Aurora Country Club, where he plays golf as often as his schedule and the weather will allow. For over 25 years, he has been a member of Rotary Club, where he is a Paul Harris Fellow and a past president.

As a Financial Advisor, Will manages many of the group’s key responsibilities. He works closely with clients to develop detailed investment plans designed to meet their goals. He then puts those plans into action and meets to review their performance to help ensure they’re in line with the client’s goals.

Will is licensed in life insurance and health insurance. Through continuing education each year, Will stays current on emerging financial trends and planning strategies.

After growing up in Aurora and attending high school there, Will attended Marquette University in Milwaukee. After graduation, he joined the Peace Corps to work as a volunteer in Mongolia for two years. There, Will learned to speak Mongolian, taught high school English, coached basketball and made many new friends. During that time, he also discovered a love of traveling and traveled throughout Asia.

Upon returning to the U.S., Will recognized the meaningful and rewarding ways that Seibold Wealth Management helps its clients, and he decided to join the practice. He came to Wells Fargo Advisors in September of 2008 and joined Seibold Wealth Management Group in 2009 after earning his Series 7 and Series 66 registrations.

Will continues to travel and looks forward to exploring new parts of the world. He sails often and is an active member of the Chicago Yacht Club. He also enjoys bicycling and running, and has completed the Chicago Marathon twice.

Denise specializes in delivering exceptional service to every client. She manages client onboarding, processes asset transfers, update client records, oversees client correspondence, marketing initiatives, and compliance functions.

With more than 25 years of experience in the industry. She serves as the Sr. Operations Manager for Smirniotis & Seibold Wealth Management. Prior to joining her team. Denise served as a Senior Relationship manager for Wells Fargo Advisors, UBS, Wachovia (a predecessor firm to Wells Fargo Advisors) and Stifel Nicolaus.

Outside of work, Denise enjoys spending time with her husband, two college boys, and their dog Dierks. Denise loves to travel, hang out with friends and family, bake, make crafts and loves going to country concerts. She enjoys volunteering in her local community, supporting coats for kids, Feed my starving Children, and Catholic Charities.

Highlights

Monica received her bachelor’s from Providence College in Rhode Island. She is a highly organized and creative individual that is excited about the opportunity to help clients achieve their personal financial goals. In the past, she gained experience working for Interactive Brokers.

Monica grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois and now lives just one town away. When away from the office, Monica enjoys spending time with her family. Some of her hobbies include reading and spending time outdoors.
